Chasin You

[Intro]
Em

[Verse 1]
Em
We used to chase that Chattanooga freight
D
Couple of kids in a Chevrolet
C G
Catch a little air when we cross the tracks
                                      Em
Sipping on something from a paper sack
                                      D
You hang your shirt on that maple limb
Slipping through the moon to the river bend
C
Wasn't very long I was jumping in,
jumping in
I guess I'm still doing now what I was doing then

[Chorus]
        Em D C G
Chasing you like a shot of whiskey
   Em D C G
Burning going down, burning going down
        Em D C G
Chasing you like those goodbye tail lights
Em D C G
Headed west to anywhere out of this nowhere town
             Em
Chasing that freedom,
        D C G
chasing that feeling that got gone too soon
             Em
Chasing that you and me,
D C G
I only see in my rear view
Yeah,
    Em D C G
I'm laying here tonight holding someone new
         Em D C G
Still chasing you, still chasing you
Em D C G

[Verse 2]
Em D
You always used to talk about LA
I heard you got as far as Santa Fe
C G
Well you know I tried to track you down
                           Em D
I only got as far as Guitar Town
Singing 'bout a girl I used to know,
C
 used to know,
You should know that I haven't given up
I'm just on your radio

[Chorus]
        Em D C G
Chasing you like a shot of whiskey
   Em D C G
Burning going down, burning going down
        Em D C G
Chasing you like those goodbye tail lights
Em D C G
Headed west to anywhere out of this nowhere town
             Em
Chasing that freedom,
        D C G
chasing that feeling that got gone too soon
             Em
Chasing that you and me,
D C G
I only see in my rear view
Yeah,
    Em D C G
I'm laying here tonight holding someone new
         Em D C G
Still chasing you, still chasing you

[Solo]
Em D C G Em D

Burning going down, burning going down
        Em D C G
Chasing you like those goodbye tail lights
Em D C G
Headed west to anywhere out of this nowhere town
             Em
Chasing that freedom,
        D C G
chasing that feeling that got gone too soon
             Em
Chasing that you and me,
D C G
I only see in my rear view
Yeah,
    Em D C G
I'm laying here tonight holding someone new
         Em D C G
Still chasing you, still chasing you
         Em D C G
Still chasing you, still chasing you
