Lyrics

[Verse 1]
D D Bm A D G D
The first Noell the angel did say
G D Em D Em D G D
Was to certain poor shephards in fields as they lay;
   D Bm A
In fields where they lay,
D G D
keeping their sheep,
G D Em D Em D G D
On a cold winter's night that was so deep:

[Chorus]
  D Bm F#m G D
Noell, Noell, Noell, Noell,
Bm G D Em D A D
Born is the King of Israel!

[Verse 2]
     D Bm A D G D
They looked up and saw a star
G D Em D Em D G D
Shining in the east beyond them far
    D Bm A D G D
And to the earth it gave great light
G D Em D Em D G D
And so it continued both day and night

[Chorus]
  D Bm F#m G D
Noell, Noell, Noell, Noell,
Bm G D Em D A D
Born is the King of Israel!

[Verse 3]
    D Bm A D G D
And by the light of that same star
G D Em D Em D G D
Three Wise men came from country far
   D Bm A D G D
To seek for a King was their intent
G D Em D Em D G D
And to follow the star wherever it went

[Chorus]
  D Bm F#m G D
Noell, Noell, Noell, Noell,
Bm G D Em D A D
Born is the King of Israel!

[Verse 4]
     D Bm A D G D
This star drew nigh to the north_west
G D Em D Em D G D
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest
    D Bm A D G D
And there it did both stop and stay
G D Em D Em D G D
Right o'er the place where Jesus lay

[Chorus]
  D Bm F#m G D
Noell, Noell, Noell, Noell,
Bm G D Em D A D
Born is the King of Israel!

[Verse 5]

Then entered in those Wise men three
G D Em D Em D G D
Fell reverently u_pon their knee
    D Bm A D G D
And offered there in His presence
G D Em D Em D G D
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense

[Chorus]
  D Bm F#m G D
Noell, Noell, Noell, Noell,
Bm G D Em D A D

That hath made heaven and earth of nought

And with his blood mankind has bought
