[Intro]
A D E A
D E A

[Verse 1]
A D E
Sun tanned toes tickling the sand
A D E
Cold drink chilling in my right hand
A D E
Watchin' you sleep in the evening light
A D A
Resting up for a long, long night

[Chorus]
                A
'Cause when the sun goes down,
D
 we'll be grooving
         A
When the sun goes down,
         E
we'll be feeling all right
           A D
When the sun sinks down over the water
A D E A
Everything gets hotter when the sun goes down,
  A
yeah

[Interlude]

[Verse 2]
A D E
All day long just takin' it easy
A D E
Laying in the hammock where it's nice and breezy
A D E
And sleeping off the night before
                A
'Cause when the sun goes down,
         D A
we'll be back for more

[Chorus]
           A
When the sun goes down,
D
 we'll be grooving
         A
When the sun goes down,
         E
we'll be feeling all right
           A D
When the sun sinks down over the water

A A D E
This old guitar and my dark sunglasses
A D E
This sweet concoction is smooth as molasses
A D E
Nothing to do but breathe all day
          A D A
Until the big moon rises and it's time to play

[Chorus]
           A
When the sun goes down,
D
 we'll be grooving
         A
When the sun goes down,
         E
we'll be feeling all right

When the sun sinks down over the water
A D E A
Everything gets hotter when the sun goes down
              D
Sun goes down, we'll be grooving
         A
When the sun goes down,
         E
we'll be feeling all right

When the sun sinks down over the water
A D E A
Everything gets hotter when the sun goes down
When the sun goes down,

we'll be feeling all right

A D E A
Uncle Kennys' hotter when the sun goes down

[Fade Out]

         A E
When the sun sinks down, hey,
Uncle Kenny

When the sun goes down

 Over the water
A D E A
