Falling Behind

[Intro]
| Am7 D9 | Gmaj7 - | Am7 D9 |

[Verse 1]
Gmaj7 Am7 D9
Moved out to a new city
    Gmaj7
June is dawning down on me
    Am7 D9 Gmaj7
And all that I can  find's
      Am7 D9
A sickly romance in the air
  Bm7 E9 Bm7 A#m7
Lovers stroll without a care in
Am7
   sight
      D7b9
Oohoohooh, this can't be right

[Chorus]
           Am7 D9
'Cause the sun's engaged to the sky
       Gmaj7
And my best friends found a new guy
    Am7 D9
I'm only getting older
     Bm7b5 E9 E7b9 Am7
I've never had a shoulder to cry on
D9 C#9 C9 B9 Eaug
Someone to call mine
   Am7 D9
Everybody's falling in love
                      Gmaj7
And I'm falling behind

[Verse 2]
Gmaj7 Am7 D9
Touched the ocean, fell right in
       Gmaj7
Stepped outside and burned my skin
   Am7 D9 Gmaj7
My life won't go my way
   Am7 D9
Bossa nova in my room
     Bm7 E9 Bm7 A#m7
Hoped that I'll find someone too to
Am7
   love
   D9
Bеcause

[Chorus]
    Am7 D9
The sun's engagеd to the sky
       Gmaj7
And my best friends found a new guy

I've never had a shoulder to cry on
D9 C#9 C9 B9 Eaug
Someone to call mine
   Am7 D9
Everybody's falling in love
                      Gmaj7
And I'm falling behind

Everybody's falling in love
