Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you use Strumfy (strumfy.com), how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact hello@strumfy.com.
Information processed by the tools
The tools on this site run entirely in your web browser. Text you paste into the chord transposer, chords you type into the capo calculator or key finder, and other tool inputs are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers.
Microphone (guitar tuner)
The guitar tuner asks for microphone permission so it can detect the pitch of your strings. Audio is analysed in real time in your browser using the Web Audio API. It is never recorded, stored or uploaded. You can stop the tuner or revoke microphone permission in your browser settings at any time.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information when you request a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept for a limited time.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself does not require cookies for the tools to work. Third-party services described below may set cookies or use similar technologies on your device.
Advertising: Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- For more information, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where required by law (for example, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), a consent message provided through Google's consent management tools will ask for your choice before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy link shown by that message.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. Any such data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
Fonts
Pages load the Inter font from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google's servers, which may log your IP address. See Google Fonts privacy.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Because we do not maintain user accounts or store tool inputs, we generally hold no personal data about you. For requests relating to advertising data, use the Google links above, or email us and we will help where we can.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
