Sunday Is Coming

A great light dawns in Galilee
Dm C
    Some say mad man
Some say King
C F
   Wonder working rebel priest
Am G
    Jesus Christ the Nazarene
C F
He knew well what it would take
Dm C
To free us all from sin and grave
C F
A perfect man would have to die
Am G
And only He could pay that price

Friday's good 'cause Sunday is coming

you better start running

Friday's good 'cause Sunday is coming

[Verse 2]
C F
So He let those soldiers take Him in
Dm
C
As His friend betrayed Him with a kiss
C F
   There before the mocking crowd
Am
G
Like a lamb to the slaughter didn't make a sound
C F
Then He carried that cross to Calvary
Dm C
And He shed His blood to set us free
C
F
As the nails went in and the sky went dark
Am
G
The redemption of the world was on His heart

[Chorus]
C F
Friday's good 'cause Sunday is coming
Dm
C
Don't lose hope 'cause Sunday is coming
C F
   Devil, you're done,
you better start running
Am
G
Friday's good 'cause Sunday is coming

[Bridge]
C
 Then He breathed His last
F
 And bowed His head
C F
The Son of God and man was dead
C
 With bloody hands
F
 Tears on their face
C
 They laid Him down
F
 Inside that grave
C
 But that wasn't the end
F
 That wasn't the end
C
 That wasn't the end
Fsus2
Let me tell you what happened next

[Verse 3]
C F
The women came before the dawn
Dm C
To find that stone already gone
C F
   When they looked inside,
the angel said
Am

"Why you looking for the living among the dead?"

[Bridge 2]
      C F
He's alive He's
alive
Hallelujah, He's alive
         Dm C
Give Him praise Lift
Him high
Hallelujah, He's alive
      C F
He's alive He's
alive
Hallelujah, He's alive
         Am G

[Outro]

 Now Jesus reigns
F
 Upon the throne
C
 All Heaven sings
F
 To Him alone

 We watch and wait

Like a bride for a groom
C
 Oh, church arise
F
 He's coming soon
