West Coast

[Intro]
G#sus4
G# C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast
           G#m7/B A A/G#
Found some faces that I don't know
            F#m7
Give me the Sun for just a year
              G#
I'll kiss the sky and disappear

[Verse 1]
                  C#m
I've been starin' up at the greyest skies
                       A
Tryna find myself some luck,
but it's runnin' dry
                                F#m
It's like the weather makes the worst of my cloudy mind
                     G#
I could really use a dose of some paradise
                    C#m
Sometimes you gotta run from a broken heart
                     A
Before I turn into a ghost,
need a brand new start
                         F#m
Get myself headed to the coast, man,
it ain't that far
Yeah, they got sun in L.A.
G#
  and some shinin' stars
                             C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast

[Chorus]
                        A
Found some faces that I don't know
A/G# F#m7
Seein' signs for California
          G#sus4 G#
Trade the shade for somethin' warmer
                             C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast
                         A
Where the people take it real slow
  A/G# E
I need the Sun for just a year
              G#sus4 G#
I'll kiss the sky and disappear

[Verse 2]
             C#
Ain't felt a drop now for forty days
                          A
But still they're washing cars and they don't show any age
                       F#m
Ain't nothin' that you want'll cost you more than time
                         G#
If you're tryna find yourself,
better get in line
    C#
I'm countin' up my money and spendin' to get it right
        A
Got the future in my pocket,
I'm spendin' it all tonight
       E
Like a prophet with the vision,
I finally see the light
            G#
And you know
                             C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast

[Chorus]
                        A
Found some faces that I don't know
A/G# F#m7
Seein' signs for California
          G#sus4 G#
Trade the shade for somethin' warmer
                             C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast
                         A
Where the people take it real slow
  A/G# E
I need the Sun for just a year
              G#sus4 G# C#
I'll kiss the sky and disappear

[Bridge]
                         C#/B A
Glitter nights under starry skies
               A/G# F#m7
All I wanna do is fly
                            G
Take me where the Sun shines bright,
yeah
                             C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast

[Refrain]
                      A
Time to find myself a new glow
           E
I need the Sun for just a year
              G#sus4 G#
I'll kiss the sky and disappear
                             C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast

[Chorus]
                        A
Found some faces that I don't know
A/G# F#m7
Seein' signs for California
          G#sus4 G#
Trade the shade for somethin' warmer
                             C#
I've been dreamin' 'bout the West Coast
                         A
Where the people take it real slow
  A/G# E
I need the Sun for just a year
              G#sus4 G#
I'll kiss the sky and disappear
