[Verse 1]
      G
And I met the seventh son
D A
He came for everyone
        G D A
The day he heard the lightning in the field
        G
I heard him clear his throat
D A
A fork within the road
     G D A
That night the Tallahatchie took the wheel

[Pre-Chorus]
Em
I've been throwin' knives
       G D
To see just where they'll land
Em G A
Now, my world is in your hands

[Chorus]
D Am7 Em7
  Send in the congregation
D Am7 Em7
Open your eyes, step in the light
D Am7 Em7
  A jukebox generation
D Am7 Em7
  Just as you were

[Verse 2]
          G D
The voice upon the stage
       A
Is the heart inside a cage
         G D A
And it's singing like a bluebird in the round
           G D
There's mystery in this wood
    A
And ghosts within these roots
         G D A
That are tangled deep beneath this Southern Ground

[Pre-Chorus]
Em
  I've been goin' through life
  G D
Makin' foolish plans
Em G A
Now, my world is in your hands

[Chorus]
D Am7 Em7
  Send in the congregation
D Am7 Em7
Open your eyes, step in the light
D Am7 Em7
  A jukebox generation
D Am7 Em7
  Just as you were, right?
G D A
    Just as you were
G D A
    Just as you were, alright!
